Artist's Description
The base of Thunder Creek Falls, a 96m (315 feet) waterfall is located in the Haast Valley in Mt Aspiring National Park on the south island of New Zealand. The Haast River is in the foreground. Thunder Creek Falls is a short 5min.walk from the highway (ca. 90 km north of Wanaka).
About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
