Artist's Description
During the height of the Afghan and Iraqi wars we got a large snowfall in Madison. The school custodian went up on the roof and carved out a large peace sign. This peace sign is very fitting given the name of the elementary school our children go to (or have gone to)
About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, but have now retired from teaching introductory geology classes. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
