Sunset on the beach in Australia. Instead of your typical sunset, looking into the setting sun, this photo is looking East, at the changing colors on the eastern horizon reflecting off the water on the beach and illuminating the rocks. This photo was taken at Denhams Beach on the south coast of New South Wales, in Australia (near Batemans Bay).

I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
