Artist's Description
Closeup of memorial for Otis Redding, "king of the soul singers", who died in a plane crash in Lake Monona, Madison, Wisconsin in 1967. The memorial is on the roof of Monana Terrace overlooking Lake Monona. A view showing the setting of the memorial is also available.
About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
