Artist's Description
Madison city skyline seen from Picinic Point on Lake Mendota. The Wisconsin Capitol is on the left. The Univertsity of Wisconsin's Memorial Union is to the right o fthe prominent red building on the right (the Armory or Red Gym). Numerous yachts and other boats are moored off from the union. many of these belong to UW's outdoors club, the Hoofers.
About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
