Artist's Description
Although I am not into ice fishing, I find the frozen fishing holes make unique and fascinating subjects. No fishing holes are alike, and each have a distinct internal structure. In fact many remind of looking into eyes. Be sure to check out more fishing holes in my ice gallery.
About Steven Ralser
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, but have now retired from teaching introductory geology classes. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
