Horicon Marshis located in east central Wisconsin and is a sanctuary for numerous migratory birds and extends over ca, 14 miles. The northern end is a National Wildlife Refuge, and the southern end, pictured here near Horicon, is a State Wildlife area,

I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
