The Arlington Prairie Lutheran Church is located west of Lodi, Wisconsin (north of Madison). The church was built in 1870 and initially conducted service in Norwegian (until 1915), and then in English till 1977, the church is currently maintained by the Lodi Valley Historical Society. The photo is also available as a color image.

I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
