A small cliff, covered in vegetation, flanking Okarito beach, on the west coast of the South Island of New Zealand.There is a small waterfall coming off the cliff (in front of my daughter). The cliff is made up of till, representing moraine deposits form glaciers.
I am a nature and landscape photographer based in Madison, WI, with images from around the world. I am originally from Australia, but have lived in New Brunswick, Canada, and Socorro, New Mexico, before moving to Madison. I am trained as a geologist, and still teach introductory geology classes (need to pay the bills somehow).. The love of the outdoors has strongly influenced my photography, initially in Australia, but then in the the NW Territories of Canada (I was there doing geology), and the desert of New Mexico.
